What is MajeOfficial all about?
"Majeofficial.com is a home for independent African productions. We have independent movies, independent web series and art inspired by our experience and culture. With Majeofficial.com you have a one stop shop of the best that's out there.
Why this route?
The reason we went the independent route is we believe that independence is not only the next, but the now. By this I mean that in the future of all creative professions, those who master independence will be king. I know this because the booming success these same people are having today.
The most important thing to us is to showcase what we call the New African Creativity. I personally feel that the African world, on the continent and in diaspora is undergoing a creative revival that shaking the foundations of the world we once knew. Africans are telling their own story, mastering their own production, and once again pushing their culture forward.
Tell us what you think about the Africa of today?
In the past African culture was something your ancestors did, and you are expected to carry on or mimic. The young African today is revolutionary because he is creating his own culture based on his own ideals. Though influenced by the past, and influenced by the west it's completely ours. We're defining ourselves as we see fit."
