“It’s Africa’s Largest Beach Soccer Event”! Join in the Excitement at the 2013 COPA Lagos event | Friday 13th – Sunday 15th December 2013
What do you get when you mix entertainment with beach soccer? COPA Lagos!
For the 2013 edition, 4 international beach soccer teams, cheerleaders, dancers, fashion designers and A-list music artists will play a a part at the event. A total of six (6) matches will be played for the cash prize among Nigeria, Lebanon, Senegal and Germany which means a large audience will be watching the three-day event.
The pre-match entertainment event will run from 1PM – 2PM daily, kicks off a tough game in which African worlds beach soccer qualifier Senegal will take on Germany. At half-time, Spanish cheer leading sensation, Personal Plus, will wow the crowd with an exclusive, high-energy routine.
Project Manager for COPA Lagos, Michael Smith, said: “We’re all really looking forward to giving our spectators, the teams and fans a warm Lagos welcome. Spectators can be sure of an amazing event that’s fun for all whether you are a die-hard football fan drawn to the excitement of a thrilling live game or you are there to enjoy other quality entertainment such as the fashion show, parties and the musical concerts. What we want to create here is our fantastic community spirit which will be showcased to the world.”
A lot has been going on in the build-up to the iconic tournament, with other pre-event activities including a roadshow set to kick off in December.

According to Smith, “After the game, we’ll have concerts for three nights starting on Friday and going through Sunday as well as fashion shows and beach parties to keep our spectators thoroughly entertained. This is after all Africa’s largest beach soccer event.”
