“Do
not compromise on the quality and your customers will not negotiate on the
price”
- Amit Kalantri
In a layman terms; it’s simply when a consumer is wowed and has their expectation
exceeded. We can also say it is the same as what a customer feels but cannot
be categorized as User Interface (UI).
UX can be achieved in several areas of digital
businesses, either in developing mobile apps, website, hardware, software
development, gaming software e.t.c.
Below are some of the reasons we believe it
is key:
4
Reasons why User Experience is key
1.
It creates customer loyalty
2.
Customers are satisfied and in turn
develop high retention
3.
When customers are satisfied,
it is easy to make referrals
4.
Its gives a brand a unique
selling proposition in a sea of competition

Tips on how to build worthwhile User Experience
1.
Focus Groups: Reach out to a number of
customers, get them in a room and ask them questions about what they would like
to see in that new line of product. Use there feedbacks to form your decisions
2.
Have a budget for research and development: Most organizations and start up companies do not invest in the
financial capacity to engage in R&D and risk poor UX for potential
customers
3.
Test, Test and Test: Carry out series of
test before you launch that product with a different set of individuals
comprising of developers, IT professionals, and prospective users. Have them
critique the invention.
What
to Look out for when Scoring Software User Experience:
Cognitive load - The
difficulty users face when familiarizing themselves with using the operating
system spontaneously and intuitively
Efficiency - How
efficiently key features and services are integrated for ease of operation
Customization - How many
options an operating system provides to allow a user to tailor it to their
personal tastes
User experience friction (UEF)
- Described as "the bad stuff - the aspects of a device that can
annoy you in a niggling way or in extreme cases, drive you crazy"
Bad UX can hurt a brand for a long time if
your UX does not live up to expectation and can cause a major set back for your
brand, on the other hand an exciting user experience works magic, giving brand
equity, loyal customers and higher return on investment (ROI)
