Nokia Lauches OZO - A Virtual Reality Camera
Nokia just announced the launch of it's virtual reality camera called Ozo. This device is set to be the first in the portfolio of digital media solutions for Nokia technologies.
The Ozo can capture stereoscopic 3D video through eight synchronised shutter sensors and audio through eight integrated microphone.
The Ozo software has been designed to enable real time 3D viewing.
Even though Nokia is a late entrant in the world of virtual reality, with the likes of Samsung, Microsoft, HTC all of which have virtual reality devices all focused on consumers, instead Nokia;s Ozo is catering for content creators.
The device should start shipping in the 4th Quarter in 2015, prices and specification would be announced then.
That's all from me on Digital Trends. I will definitely keep in touch.
