Pink: Being called a lesbian is a compliment
Pink thinks it's a compliment to be called a lesbian.
The 'So What' hitmaker - who has two-year-old daughter Willow with husband Carey Hart - insists she isn't bothered by abusive social media users who hurl homophobic insults at her because she has many great friends who are gay.
Hitting back at mean tweets, she wrote: ''Fun fact: when you twitter me and say 'you're a lesbian' it really doesn't bother me at all. It's a compliment. Most of my fav ppl are.
''I'm sure all of you hate filled humans can come up with something a little worse than that?!? Come on- be creative. You have 140 characters! (sic)''
The 33-year-old singer previously heralded her homosexual fan base for being the reason behind her successful music career.
She said: ''They've been the most loyal part of what I do. They've been my most loyal friends, to be honest. I've had a lot of my gay boys around, but my gay girls are my rootstalk. They're my honesty in an ocean of bull***t. I should be gay by the way that I look and the way that I am. I just happen to not be. But it just makes perfect and complete sense.''
Pink isn't the only star undeterred by jibes about her sexuality, with Miley Cyrus recently saying she's never offended by people calling her a lesbian.
She said: ''Everyone said I was a lesbian but I'm like, 'Being a lesbian isn't a bad thing. So if you think I look like I'm a lesbian, I'm not offended. You can call me much worse. I've been called much worse. Being a lesbian is a compliment more than what else they call me.''
