Two murder suspects, Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22 have denied killing a British soldier on a London street.
28-year-old Michael Adebolajo and 22-year-old Michael Adebowale made this declaration on court on Friday. They reportedly appeared by videolink from prison to deny murdering Lee Rigby in Woolwich, southeast London, on May 22.
It was also reported that Rigby’s widow broke down in tears and sobbed as the video was broadcast in a packed courtroom at the Old Bailey court in London.
Both men also denied attempting to murder a police officer on May 22, the day of Rigby’s death, and conspiracy to murder a police officer on or before that day.
Adebolajo — who was listed in court documents as Mujaahid Abu Hamza — and Adebowale will go on trial on November 17.
