Well, you don't see this everyday.

At a WWE stop in Cape Town, South Africa Tuesday, a fan put himself in the middle of the action when he hopped into the ring and punched wrestler Randy Orton.

As Orton stood on a turnbuckle, this happened:

"The matter is currently under investigation by the local authorities, and the South African fan is being held in jail pending criminal charges," read a post on the WWE website. "The extent of Orton's injuries are unknown at this time." See, wrestling’s not totally fake. As far as punches to the groin go, it didn’t look like Orton was too banged up. Not so sure about the fan, who took what looked like a kick to the head. What else could he have expected, right? This is not the first time a fan has attacked a player during a sporting event (if this counts as one). Two fans jumped Kansas City Royals first base coach Tom Gamboa during a game in 2002. And most infamously, Monica Seles was stabbed in the back by a fan during a tennis match in 1993.

BlackhawksEarlier this month, Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber angered many hockey fans for (a) yet again touching the Stanley Cup without ever having won it and, even worse, (b) standing on the Chicago Blackhawks logo in their dressing room while taking a photo of the Cup in the bowels of the United Center.

The latter offense was seen as a major show of disrespect. NHL teams are careful not to allow anyone to step on the team logo on the dressing room floor … despite it, you know, being on the floor. The 

Blackhawks rope theirs off from the media during playoff interviews. The Boston Bruins actually position a team employee to chase away people who step too close to their logo.

The Blackhawks themselves expressed outrage that Bieber used their logo as a welcome mat, with forward Andrew Shaw tweeting, “Bro, no stepping on the logo.”

The fans were also outraged. And on July 27, at the Blackhawks’ annual fan convention, a few finally took action against the Biebs – by stepping all over his legacy.

And by “legacy” we of course mean “face.”

"I never do this but... Healthy living and fitness update. Post workout picture. #diabeticinshape #2.0," the hunky 20-year-old shared along with the above photo.

At the age of 13, Nick was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Since then, he majorly cut back on his sugar intake and stays away from regular soda.


"When I wake up, the first thing I do is check my blood sugar, see where I am," Nick explained to Good Housekeeping in 2011 about what a typical day for him is like. "Then, I usually eat breakfast, typically an omelet because it has eggs, which are good, and other things that help me stay stable."
Nick, obviously, makes sure to get to the gym as well, although he admitted at the time it was hard to maintain a regular schedule while on tour.

Considering the Jonas Brothers are currently on tour promoting their upcoming album "V" — and judging by this ab-tastic photo — Nick must have somehow found the right balance.

Angelina Jolie Is Forbes’ Highest Paid Actress

How big a star is Angelina Jolie? This big: she hasn't starred in a movie since 2010's "The Tourist," her last acting credit was voicing the Tigress in 2011's "Kung Fu Panda 2," and she's still Hollywood's highest paid actress, according to a story in the new issue of Forbes.

The respected business and finance journal has published a list of Hollywood's Highest Paid Actresses, and Jolie easily tops the list, having raked in $33 million between June 2012 and June 2013. Forbes reports that Jolie was paid $15 million to star in "Maleficent," a revisionist version of "Sleeping Beauty" told from the point-of-view of the drowsy princess' magical foe. The movie is due in theaters in July 2014. The rest of Jolie's massive income is from endorsement deals, like the reported $10 million she's getting paid to be the face of Louis Vitton.
 

Even if she hasn't been seen on screen much recently, Jolie has certainly been in the public eye, having revealed in June that she'd undergone a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene. Jolie also directed a feature film, "In The Land Of Blood and Honey," that arrived in theaters in 2011, and her next directorial effort, "Unbroken" (with a script by Joel and Ethan Coen), is expected to arrive in theaters in time for Christmas 2014.

Though Jolie tops the list, Hollywood's newest sweetheart, Jennifer Lawrence, was having a pretty good year as well, coming in at No. 2 with a $26 million payday. Lawrence won an Oscar for her performance in the hit "Silver Linings Playbook," and starred in the first movie in the "Hunger Games" franchise; with "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" both in the works (as well as "American Hustle" which re-teams her with "Silver Linings" director David O. Russell), Lawrence seems poised to stay high on this list for a while.

Before saying their "I do's", a couple in Russia received a major wedding day surprise when a building in Kostroma collapsed right behind them. Meet the 2014 BMW i3 electric car attempts a revolution from within...

It looks like a prop from a science fiction movie. It’s the oddest vehicle built with a BMW badge since the company stopped making Isetta bubble cars in 1962. But the 2014 BMW i3 electric car revealed today rolls out as the most technically advanced effort by an automaker to make electric cars viable.

Like all major automakers, BMW has to build electric vehicles to meet regulations around the world, especially in California, which requires automakers to either sell their own EVs or pay their competitors who do so. BMW had experimented with an electric version of its 3-Series sedan, but chose to build a custom-designed EV meant to serve as an urban commuter in the world’s increasingly crowded cities — one meant to maximize its environmental credentials.

"We are at the starting blocks of a new era, the era of sustainable mobility," said BMW Chairman Norbert Reithofer. "The BMW i3 is more than an evolutionary step. It's a great leap forward."

It’s inevitable that the i3 would draw comparisons with Tesla’s Model S, but outside of how they turn their wheels, the two cars have little in common. Tesla designed the Model S to look like a typical sedan on purpose, to make car buyers already wary of electric power feel more at ease. The i3 advertises its singularity, with a tall cabin and short nose wrapped in swooping thermoplastic bodywork. The i3 rides on tall but narrow 19-inch wheels in a tire size found usually on space-saving spares. There’s no pillar between the doors; the rear half-doors open suicide-style, and with no transmission or exhaust tunnel BMW claims it’s easy to slide out either side.

By designing for electric power from scratch, BMW solved many typical EV shortcomings while adding a few new benefits. The i3 has as much interior room as a 3-Series midsize sedan in the footprint of a compact car. BMW's biggest breakthrough for the i3 may be its carbon-fiber frame, the first in a mass-produced vehicle, which cuts the i3 weight to 2,700 lbs., about 500 less than the Nissan Leaf.
BMW claims that weight savings means the i3 does not sacrifice the company’s reputation for handling or performance in the name of environmental benefits. The electric motor powering the rear wheels generate 170 hp and 184 lb.-ft. of torque, enough to carry the i3 to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. Like all BMWs, the i3’s weight sits balanced evenly between front and back, with the 450-lb. lithium-ion battery pack over the rear wheels for better traction.

Lady Gaga Broke Her Hip, But ‘Nobody Knew’

Lady Gaga has been lying relatively low for the past six months following a hip injury that halted her Born This Way World Tour in February. While the hip injury was public knowledge (her camp issued a statement that she was suffering from a labral tear for which she underwent surgery), most people didn't know just how bad the injury really was.

Now the pop star has revealed it was much worse than she initially let on. "My injury was actually a lot worse than just a labral tear,” she says. “I had broken my hip. Nobody knew, and I haven’t even told the fans yet. But when we got all the MRIs finished before I went to surgery there were giant craters, a hole in my hip the size of a quarter, and the cartilage was just hanging out the other side of my hip. I had a tear on the inside of my joint and a huge breakage. The surgeon told me that if I had done another show I might have needed a full hip replacement. I would have been out at least a year, maybe longer.”

Billionaire Folorunsho Alakija acquires 4 G-Wagons for her 4 sons

One of the world's richest women, billionaire oil tycoon Mrs Folorunsho Alakija recently acquired four brand new 2013 G-Wagons for her four sons, according to a report by Society Now.

The luxury SUVs, which were specially made for the Alakija boys, were quietly brought into the country a few weeks back. Each is said to have cost at least N22mllion, minus shipping.

Mrs Alakija is said to be worth about $600m (as of 2012) and makes about $1m daily from her oil business. She also has a real estate portfolio worth over $100 million.

Cell Phone Dangers: Myth vs Fact

Everyone are more reliant on their smart phones and laptops than ever before, but many of us are unaware of the potential harm our favorite gadgets could cause.

“As a society, we have become so dependent on these devices,” Dr. Roshini Raj says, “But the truth is, we don’t know some of the long term effects.”

Dr. Raj says that while doctors have yet to pinpoint a correlation between cell phone use and brain cancer, neuroscientists researching the case believe a link does exist.

 It sounds like some scary stuff, but Dr. Raj has tips to avoid any harmful affects. First, don’t keep your phone in your pocket all day or anywhere too close to your body. Second, use speakerphone or a landline to restrict the amount time your cell is pressed against your head. Third, and most importantly, limit your child’s cell phone exposure.

“Children are particularly susceptible to any kind of radiation damage, increasing their cancer risk,” Dr. Raj says, “So for children, you really need to limit their use.”

It’s not just radiation that’s a tech concern, excessive texting and e-mailing can lead to soreness and carpal tunnel, and staring at screens for too long can affect your sight. Dr. Raj says it won’t “cause permanent vision loss, but it can definitely cause eye strain, tired eyes, itchy, watery painful eyes,” and bring on headaches.

Mini Beyonce ! Beyonce reveals adorable childhood photo on her Tumblr page that proves she's always been a diva in training..

She is known for posting both hilarious and intimate moments of her life on her Tumblr page.

And on Saturday, Beyonce decided to share an adorable picture of herself from her childhood.

But unlike most childhood pictures, Beyonce was seen looking regal in a wrap around dress made of gold material, a matching turban and huge earrings - suggesting that she's always been a diva in training.

It's not the first time Beyonce has raided the family vaults of childhood pictures and recently has been using vintage images from her earlier years as artwork for her new single Bow Down.

Beyonce also posted a picture of husband Jay Z from his high school days to congratulate him on the success of his latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail.

It is unclear whether Beyonce will be using more childhood pictures for the artwork of her upcoming album, which does not currently have a release date.

An aspiring glamour model who had a £4,800 taxpayer-funded breast enlargement is to sue the NHS because her new assets are too big.

Josie Cunningham, of Leeds, said her 36DD breasts have ruined her life by making her the target of online abuse.

It is the third time the unmarried mother-of-two has demanded money from the taxpayer.

Not only did they foot the cost of her breast enlargement, but Miss Cunningham is now insisting on a reduction and compensation.

She claims she was not properly consulted before her operation and wants compensation for clinical negligence and emotional distress.

Breaking News: Nando Disqualified-Elikem gets a Strike

Tanzania's Nando has been Disqualified from the Big Brother House.

After tonight's Evictions that saw Annabel and Sulu being given the boot, Big Brother then gathered all of the Housemates in the living room.

Today Big Brother reproached Nando for the fight that he had with Elikem on Friday. The heated face-off with Elikem saw the two fellas exchanging fiery words between them. Nando is the one that instigated the fight. Instigation and provocation is a violation of the Big Brother rules.

"Any Housemate who becomes physically violent will be removed from the House immediately. Violence can refer to self-inflicted violence, or violence towards another. Violence includes provocation, goading, bullying and victimisation," said Biggie.

Chidi Lloyd slapped, cuffed, blindfolded & taken to unknown location, lawyer claims..

Emenike Ebete, counsel to Rivers State Lawmaker, Chidi Lloyd, says he fears for his client’s life based on claims that the police have hidden him in an unknown location.

Ebete told Nigerian Telegraph that he wants the public to be watchful so that what happened in the case of the late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola did not repeat itself.

    “In Abuja, they told us they were transporting him to Port Harcourt to charge him for conspiracy and didn’t say more than that. When we got to Port Harcourt, there were more than five hundred policemen waiting to escort him to the command office. From there, he was moved to the Police officers’ mess and handcuffed like a common criminal. Now I do not know where he is,” Ebete said.

Eyewitnesses claim that Lloyd was blindfolded and handcuffed as he arrived at the Rivers State Police Command on Friday.

Meanwhile, the application by Lloyd’s legal representative, Belu-Olisa Mofor, praying the court to grant his client bail has been stalled with the Judge, Justice Esor Teetito adjourning further hearing on the application till August 6, 2013.

Lloyd has been detained by the Force Headquarters of the Nigeria Police since he reported in on Tuesday, and was brought to Port Harcourt, where he is expected to be taken to court.
The leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly was part of a fracas in the Rivers State House of Assembly on July 9. He was seen in a video, chasing a fellow law maker, Michael Chinda and assaulting him with the mace of the house.

Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, Angela Agabe declined to comment on the matter saying she could not speak unless directed by those in higher authority.

The practice is believed to have begun in 1688, when dozens of officials watched Mary of Modena, wife of James II, give birth to a son, to scotch rumors that Mary was not really pregnant and that the baby was to be smuggled into the room in a bedpan.

The tradition continued well into the 20th century. The last royal birth to be witnessed by a government minister was that of Queen Elizabeth II's cousin, Princess Alexandra in 1936, and the practice was only officially halted shortly before the birth of Prince Charles in 1948.
